8th World School Individual Chess Championship 2012

Iasi County Chess Association, Romanian Chess Federation, the City Hall of Iasi, FIDE and the International School Chess Union have the honor to invite all the FIDE Members Chess Federations and eligible players to take part in the World School Individual Chess Championship 2012 (open and girls, under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 years old) organized in Iasi, Romania, from 27th April (Arrival) to 7th of May (Departure) 2012.

City of Chess

Iasi County Chess Association is the most active chess organization in Romania. In support of this statement will note the following aspects of chess movement in Iasi:
- we organized a very large selection basis, so in 45 kindergartens in the city of Iasi

Chess Symposium

Chess Symposium, 4-5 May in the Palas office building. Those who want to participate are asked to register to the organizers.

Every kindergarten and every school have chess lessons.

"Chess in neighborhoods" -500 chess enthusiasts play 2 times a year in neighborhoods.
